The Daily Minesweeper Challenge: One Board, One Leaderboard, Every Day
Every day every player gets the exact same No Guess board. Learn why fixed daily boards make fair records, and how to build a streak you keep.
Quick answer
Most minesweeper rankings have a fairness problem: two players do not play the same board, so raw times compare apples to a minefield. The daily challenge fixes that with one simple promise: everyone on every device gets the exact same board on the same date.

How the daily board works
Each day, the game derives a fixed board from the date itself. The seed is public, the generator is deterministic, and every player on the same date lands on the same 16 by 16 field with the same 40 mines hiding in the same squares.
Because the daily board is also a No Guess board, there is no luck anywhere in the run. Two players whose times differ by a second really were a second apart in reading speed, not a roll of fortune apart.
The leaderboard is the point
A fixed board turns the time into a true comparison: your morning 78 seconds against the afternoon 53 of someone across the ocean. The leaderboard publishes the spread, and the record you set today is a number anyone can verify against their own run tomorrow.
The old record sticks around until the next midnight by design. Chronological daily records are the honest kind, because they beat slipping luck and hardware racing at the same time.
Streaks turn the spelling of habit into a number
The daily challenge tracks more than single runs. Each completed day adds to your streak, a miss breaks it, and a tally in the HUD shows how many days in a row you have kept the appointment.
A streak is not about the board. It is the habit of showing up at 7am with a fresh field and spending four minutes inside a puzzle. Players who chase streaks report that the daily board becomes the anchor of the whole set: beginner guides, rush sprints, and zen hours all orbit the one board a day that everybody shares.
One board, many styles
Because the field is identical, different players attack it differently, and that is the most informative part of the leaderboard. Someone flag-heavy sits below a no-flag player on the same field, and the gap between their times is pure technique. Watch how close the glass-clears cluster and you will see your own next speed lesson without a single hint.
Start the streak today
The daily board resets at midnight local time, needs no account, and works fully offline once the board seeds for the day. Open the game once a day for a week, clear the board, and the run count becomes a number you do not want to break.
If this is your first streak, No Guess mode is the exact mechanic the daily board runs on, and the beginner strategy will get you through the first three days.
